Urban Plates, a trending restaurant with a hip vibe, will be opening its doors on Feb. 2 at the Carlsbad Forum.

A delicious, healthy, and cheap location for any meal, Urban Plates has been much anticipated. Its slogan, “farm to plate & won’t break the bank,” could not describe this restaurant any better. Urban Plates offers salads, sandwiches, soups, hot and cold sides, and of course, entrée plates, all for under $11. UP also offers their signature drinks in mason jars, a cute touch that adds to the overall down-home feel of eating there.

The Forum location will be the third location for this restaurant, with current locations in Irvine and Del Mar. Many students frequent the Del Mar location for healthy comfort food. Personally, I think Urban Plates is perfect for an affordable afternoon lunch with friends. I recommend the organic lemonade, the Grilled Wild Ono Urban Plate, and the Garden Tomato Mozzarella Salad. Urban Plates will not disappoint.
