Students Scream and Dance to Relieve Stress

By Nadia Ballard, Staff Writer

A group of students could be found, or rather heard, in front of the PAC during homeroom de-stressing by means of screaming. Social science teacher Jamie Duck’s homeroom led Homeroom Olympic classes in relieving their stress by screaming and jazzercising. Led by junior Zach Lewis in neon yellow workout gear, students warmed up with jump squats and knees-highs to energizing music.

Groups of friends had a great time trying to follow along with the myriad of dance moves that the boys leading the dance, from Ducks homeroom, were offering. They hosted a well-organized and fun event.

Not only were students able to scream and dance their stresses away, fun music and a heart rate check made for a grand spectacle. Even those who didn’t participate had a great time watching. The music and ambience was so energizing that students who weren’t following along with legs kicks couldn’t help but, at the very least, tap their feet to the beat.
