SDA Talent Show Recap

The annual talent show was held in the PAC on Thursday, March 12, to a sold-out crowd. The two masters of ceremony, junior Grant Sippel and freshman Gibran Mustafa, led the audience through 19 different acts ranging from singing to contortionism to dancing.

Taking third place was singer freshman Cordelia Degher, who played an original song on piano called “Crumbling Tower.” Taking second was freshman Lizzie Waters, who also played an original song on piano called “Dangerous Dance.” Taking first was senior Jack Van Cleaf and junior Viven Vaucher, who played a cover of “That Moon Song” by Gregory Alan Isakov.

Other notable acts included a traditional Polynesian dance performed by senior Katie Watson and her sister, Becky, a sophomore, ; tap dancing performed by freshman Olivia Hussey, and a beatboxing, saxophone, piano rap group consisting of seniors Gilad Barach, Evan Killeen, and Adrian Sirio.

Overall, the talent show helped show the many different sides of SDA’s student body and bring together the creative community.
