Kaaboo is San Diego’s New Coachella

San Diego is finally getting its own music festival. No longer do we have to drive all the way to Indio or San Francisco to take part in three days of music, expensive food, and sweaty hipsters. Instead, we can go just down the road to the Del Mar Fairgrounds and enjoy Kaaboo between Sept 18-20.

Kaaboo is San Diego’s Coachella, a three-day, seven-stage experience that will be headlined by bands No Doubt, The Killers, and Zac Brown Band. Also performing are artists like Snoop Dogg and bands like Foster the People, Young the Giant, OK Go, The Roots, Slightly Stoopid, and more. There are also multiple comedians performing at the event, like Joel McHale and Lewis Black.

It’s an exciting boost to San Diego’s music scene. The largest stage at the festival, the Sunset Cliffs Stage, will be able to hold 35,000-40,000 people, giving people from out of town a chance to come and enjoy as well. Tickets are now on sale at kaaboodelmar.com for $259 for three days.
