SDA Boys Soccer vs San Pasqual

SDA boys soccer showed great determination and hard work as they battled to change the 1-1 score against San Pasqual on Thursday. Unfortunately, SDA was unable to score a second time despite SDA’s many shots on goal. This was SDA’s second season game, leaving them with a 1-1-0 record.

SDA was the first to score when sophomore Patrick Rahilly crossed to senior Owen Ereso who then shot and scored. This motivated the players to work harder and run faster in order to beat San Pasqual’s defense. The score at the end of the first half was 1-0, SDA.

The second half began with just as much effort as the first; however, about midway through the half, San Pasqual shot, and senior goalie Juan Castro saved it. The ball was rebounded and San Pasqual’s right forward shot and scored. There was nothing Castro could have done to save the goal, as the shot was at a difficult angle and out of pure luck.

Both SDA and San Pasqual played very physically and continuously challenged each other. Even though the game ended in a tie, SDA worked hard and played together well.
