Girls Field Hockey: SDA vs Mission Hills
September 9, 2016
Thursday was their third game of the season, but the spirits of the players on the varsity girls field hockey team had never been higher. Spectators came to support their team and watched as the team dominated. The girls finished as strongly as they started, and ended with a winning score of 3-0 against Mission Hills High School.
According to team captain Hope Hajek, senior, the game’s win was due to excellent efforts. Junior Kate Cusick scored the team’s first goal, and junior Natasha Hall scored two goals, although they weren’t the only things that carried the Mustangs to victory. Hajek said they “fought well and worked really well as a team.”
Hajek has high hopes for the girls field hockey team this year. “We’re doing good with pushing up,” she said. “I know we can do really well this season.”
