Girls Volleyball SDA vs LCC

October 20, 2016

Girls volleyball played LCC for the second time yesterday after school in the SDA gym, winning three out of four sets. The long-anticipated game brought in lots of fans from both schools to cheer on their teams and support their players.

The first game started out tough for SDA, with the final score being 25-8 for LCC. They quickly turned it around, however, with the score for the second game ending much closer at 25-19 with LCC still in the lead.

This change seemed to pump up the crowd and the players and SDA took the lead early during the third game and brought in a win at 25-23. The last few points were really high intensity, as the close score kept fans on their feet and the pep band playing songs in between points and during timeouts.

The enthusiasm lasted throughout the fourth game as well, and although SDA lost 18-25, they continued to play really well and work together as a team.

Throughout the game, the SDA pep band played well-known songs such as “Eye of the Tiger” and “Treasure,” and athletic director Scott Jordan handed out free burger coupons that can be redeemed at lunch on Oct. 28.
