Boys Cross Country Races in State Championship

For the first time in 15 years, the SDA boys cross country team qualified for the State Championship at Woodward Park in Fresno. SDA finished in 22nd place out of 24 teams and everyone on the team set a new personal record time in the Nov. 25 event. To qualify for the State Championship, the team placed fourth out of 19 teams in the San Diego CIF Cross Country Championship race Nov. 18 .
Out of a total of 204 racers, senior Connor Oldham finished in 74th place with a time of 16:51. Junior Connor Edwards finished in 131st place at 17:24. Finishing only four seconds later was sophomore Spencer Goldstein who placed 138th. Freshman Noah Repine finished in 148th place with a time of 17:37. Junior Zack Edwards placed 161st in 17:50. Junior Ian Dewart finished in 172nd place with a time of 18:03. To finish the race for the Mustangs was sophomore Roman De la Fuente who finished 194th with a time of 18:44.
