Charlotte Ronson’s spring 2011 collection featured a grown-up grunge look suited for the fans of her previous lines. Models were clad in sheer, full-length dresses paired with slouchy socks and the occasional hoody or washed-out plaid shirt.
The abundance of grunge was contrasted with girly prints and sheer flowy dresses. Brightly colored sandals, chunky boots, and floral prints were seen throughout the collection. Models wore nose rings to emphasize the urbanized nature of the collection.
Among the girly-grunge, sheers dominated in the form of see-through dresses, blouses and skirts. These were dressed up with bows and ruffled hemlines, waistlines and necklines in soft shades; some on flower print fabrics. Overall, this spring line is a nineties inspired mixture of girly florals and modern grunge.
