Senior Out: Day 2

I’m a nervous wreck. I didn’t have a personal run in, but helping friends led to a few interesting stories today.

1. During homeroom today, my friends and I were on the prowl to hunt down some prey. We attempted to wait it out, rather than making a full charge, and this unfortunately led to nothing at all.

2. Lunch time rolled around. I left my stats class clinging to my senior friend, Zack Haupt. We had a plan to get his target out. We were going to sneak up to her car and tag her, simple enough.

As we made it to the lower parking lot, the target came into view. Zack made it all of 10 feet before bolting off. As Tatum Clifton slid into her car, she screamed as she was tagged.

Now this is where it was tricky. I was the only senior witness of this event, and her friend was entering from the other side of the car. Was she less than five feet away? Well, it was difficult to tell by the hood of her car, so we resorted to my body length. I laid across the hood of the car, using my 5-foot-9 frame as reference to the five foot boundary line. My feet squeaked off of the hood by two or three inches, therefore meaning Zack indeed did tag her out. A close call to say the least.
