The Fosters

The intensity has returned to 2014. Last Monday was the season two premiere of the ABC Family show “The Fosters.” After season one left the audience with a cliffhanger about where the main character was heading to after running away from her foster family, the first episode of season two finally answered that question. The main character, Callie, felt the need to run away from her foster family because she had gotten romantically involved with one of her foster moms’ sons named Brandon.

Afraid to face the rest of her foster family and her biological brother Jude, she leaves with her sort of boyfriend named Wyatt. He drove Callie in the direction from San Diego to Indiana, but while they were at a motel, he received a call from Callie’s foster moms begging him to help them find her. Callie ran away before her foster moms reached her, but she only ended up getting herself into more trouble.

One of her foster brothers, Jesus, and her foster sister, Mariana, dealt with the character named Lexi permanently moving to Honduras. Lexi is Jesus’ girlfriend and Mariana’s best friend, so they had to figure out how to adjust to life without her. Brandon also felt extremely guilty after he found out that Callie ran away, and Callie’s brother Jude was left feeling abandoned and lonely.

“The Fosters” is such a fictional, but dramatic and action-packed show that is definitely worth watching. There are cliffhangers in every episode and there is never a dull moment. The show gets viewers to root for the underdog, hoping that Callie will better her life and finally move on from the countless heartaches she has faced. Callie is such an unpredictable character, so you never know how she will react in a hostile situation. You can catch “The Fosters” every Monday on ABC Family.
