Fear the Walking Dead: Episode 104, “Not Fade Away”

Arguably the best episode so far, the drama and excitement heavily ramped up last Sunday on “Fear the Walking Dead.” Despite the fact that there was not a single zombie in the episode, questions were raised about the reliability of the military unit that is protecting our main group and the chaos that ensued was stressful, yet powerful.
Starting off with a rather slow pace, viewers get to see how the military camp, which has been established around our main characters’ neighborhood, operates and is managed. Fences have been put up around a perimeter, and all the residents are confined to strict curfews and rules.
We watch as Nick, one of the main protagonists, struggles to support his drug addiction, and many other domestic conflicts occur throughout the community. Over a period of time, however, certain characters that were having problems with the military enforcement start to disappear mysteriously.
Along with that, Chris, the part of the extended family, notices a flickering light coming from a house outside the walls, and tells his parents about it. At first they dismiss it, but as things grow more unstable, they look into it and find out a shocking truth about the military personnel and what they do behind closed doors..
As, Nick and Mrs. Salazar are taken away to “the hospital”, where the military has been taking people thought to be sick, the stress peaks for our main characters because of the mistrust of the authorities to properly handle and care for the patients. Also the fact that the family never intended for Nick to be taken away makes for a dramatic ending. In the midst of the unpredictable unknown, the family is once again separated as Nick is dragged off against his own will to a place where no one has yet returned from.
