Maybe less talking and more eating?

How Not to Start a Fight With Your Family on Thanksgiving

November 26, 2020

I understand that sometimes being with family is a little frustrating.  You need some good topics that aren’t going to start full-on fist fights with your family. The most obvious topic is what are you grateful for? But I believe that you can be a little more creative than that.  I have compiled topics you can talk about as Thanksgiving night carries on.

  1. If you could personalize any license plate, what would you have it say? Personally, I would have it say L8R SK8R; it just seems very classy.
  2. Where is the worst place you have been stuck in? I got stuck in a gardening store bathroom, and I was there for three hours, not the highlight of that trip.
  3. What word or saying from the past do you think should be brought back? I think we should bring back Shakespearean slang or insults, “come hither”, “thyself”, “away from you three-inch fool”, “I am sick when I do look at thee”.
  4. What benefit do you bring to the group when you hang out with friends? I bring my sick beats, moves, and jokes. Also, my constant need for food and sleep.
  5. What do you fear is hiding in the dark? I fear that Matthew Morrison is lurking in the shadows waiting for me to be alone so he can sing and dance to “Gold Digger” by Kanye West.
  6. What are some strange beliefs that people have? People who believe that Matthew Morrison should be walking around the streets and not in jail for his several crimes from being on the hit show Glee by Ryan Murphy.
  7. What gameshow do you think you would win and why? Survivor because I’m built different; I would simply survive.
  8. What movie scene choked you up the most? In the movie Elf, when Buddy the elf attacked the short man for not being an elf. I really felt the raw emotion that Will Farrell delivered while playing that part.
  9. What is the last book you read? Dr. Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham is a real nail biter. Will he eat the green eggs and ham? Who knows?
  10. What is the last song you listened to? “Hurricane” by Bridget Mendler. Bridget could have easily done “Symphony No. 25 in G Minor,” but Mozart could never have managed “Hurricane.”
  11. What is the most addictive game on your phone? I used to play “Hay Day” religiously; that game really helped me live out my dream life of being a farmer.
  12. What is the fanciest restaurant you have eaten at? The fanciest place that I have been to would have to be a Denny’s. I had the pleasant surprise of seeing my food once more on my bedroom floor.
