We asked Alguire a few questions about her favorite books, characters, and more.

What is your greatest achievement?

A-That would probably be being the first person from my family to graduate from college. That was a big challenge, having to navigate all of that without much direction, but I enjoyed it.

 As a writing tutor, I imagine you read a lot of books. What is your favorite book?

A: It’s hard to pick a favorite book, but Douglas Adams is probably one of my favorite writers. He wrote books like the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. That’s a good series.

If you could be any non-fictional character, who would you be? This could also be any movie or book series that you would just want to exist in.

A- Oh, that’s a tough one. If it was in a book series, I would probably want to be in Harry Potter.

What would your house be?

A- Ravenclaw. I like that they’re academic and blue is my favorite color.

If you could go back in time and take credit for any movie series, what would that movie series be?

A- I feel like I would want to be responsible for all the Disney cartoons. Those had such a big effect on me as a child; I would want to be Walt Disney.
