Spirit Week: Denim and Donuts

Waves of blue covered the SDA student landscape today, as students wore denim jeans, jackets, and overalls to celebrate the first day of spirit week. Clouds and gray skies added to the chill aura of the SDA vibe today, bringing back the ‘60s hippie feel. ASB students Amelia Kaiser and Jack Reed passed out donut holes at lunch for anyone participating to keep the fun going.
“The overall aesthetic was my favorite part,” senior Chloe Hollingsworth. “Also, my friend Trevor brought a denim jacket with him just to protect him for senior out.”
Senior out began today as well and one rule for denim day increased the already high tension and sense of paranoia on campus – in order for senior to be considered safe from the person who tags them, they must be within five feet of someone who is wearing denim.
SDA spirit week will continue tomorrow for Teacher Appreciation Day. Students can dress up as their favorite teachers and teachers can dress up as students.
