Nicolas Cage? Satanic Symbols? On Campus?

Satanic symbols and pictures of actor Nicholas Cage filled the outer baseball locker room when the prank was found on the first Wednesday of school by members of the baseball team. They were surprised to see the inside of the room decorated and damaged for no known reason.

The “Rage Cage,” as members of the team now call it due to tagging on the inside walls, is a strange combination between a pagan or satanic ritual ground and a shrine to the actor Nicholas Cage.

Upon opening the door to the locker room, the first view is a red spray-painted pentagram on the floor with small candles carefully placed on each corner. Additional items in the room include scattered rose petals, challises, incense, Drain-O, and a picture of the half-naked body of Nicholas Cage.

The walls too were vandalized with “RAGE CAGE,” referring to Cage’s last name, and what appears to be the word, “BEES” written on the locker walls. In addition, someone wrote on the door, “I’M GOING TO STEAL THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE,” as well as drawing devilish figures and more pentagrams.

The question that puzzles many of the baseball team and others who heard of the incident is, why would anyone want to do this and who could of it possibly have been?

Some players on the baseball team have a hunch it may be someone on the team itself as the locker room has an electronic passcode that only team members know the combination for.

Assistant Principals Doug Kamon and Jeanne Jones had not heard of the incident when asked about it on Sept. 16. Upon asking why no staff had reported the happenings in the locker room Kamon said, “It would have been the baseball coach, but we don’t have one.”
