Club Fair

SDA’s annual Club Fair took place today during both homeroom and lunch. There was an abundance of clubs in front of the Performing Arts Center with tables displaying what they have to offer in their new or returning clubs.
The clubs ranged from the Pancake Club to the Robotics Club for students to join. The area was packed full of interested students looking for new opportunities to participate in. Some students were also having a good time dancing on the stage to the music provided by Dreamscape, managed by former SDA student, Brock Kafka.
Junior Devon Maguire, president of Stang Gang, was representing her club by wearing a bright blue Stang Gang shirt and shouting SDA cheers through a cone to gain attention from students.
“We want to support all of our sports teams and go to all of our games, and cheer on our teams. Go SDA!” said Maguire.
Senior Patricia Rivero, president of Eco Club, was standing behind her plant-decorated table encouraging students to get involved with the environment.
The purpose of the Eco Club is, “to make our community, both in SDA and outside SDA more sustainable,” Rivero sad.
At the next table over, sophomore Deniz Kivrak, president of Philosophy Club, was excited to share more about the club and its purpose.
“[The purpose of my club is] to open peoples’ minds and we want to get to the point of ‘nothing is wrong.’ This is philosophy. Question everything,” Kivrak said.
