Who Won the Talent Show?

A collection of SDA’s finest singers and dancers performed to a full house in SDA’s annual talent show Thursday.

MC Hailey Reeves, a senior, kept the audience entertained in between each act, as representatives from ASB set up microphones and equipment for each performer.

The show consisted of a variety of singing and dancing acts, including acoustic song covers and originals, bands, and a variety of dances. After 15 performances, broken up by a 15-minute intermission, the show was over and it was time for the judges to decide the winners.

While the judges debated in a separate room, Reeves kept the audience entertained with a quick Comedy Sportz style game of Survival of the Fittest. Eventually the judges returned, and announced the winning acts.

Sophomore Olivia Hussey received third place and a Studio 800 gift card for her tap dancing act. Senior Rachel Dovsky received second place and a movie themed gift basket for her opera performance. Finally, sophomore Lizzie Waters was given first place and a gift basket and ASB sticker for an acoustic performance of her original song, “Surrender.”
