SDA’s Safari Day

March 16, 2018

Monkeys, tigers, rhinos, hippos, and even a singular elephant. Welcome to lunch at SDA.

Regrettably SDA didn’t have actual lions and tigers on campus, in reality they were two inch long, plastic tiny animals.

On Thursday, March 15th, SDA students and faculty members dressed in khakis and button ups to survive the wild safari of the San Dieguito Academy campus.

At lunch time, students had the opportunity to search for small figures to win prizes from ASB. The grand prize was finding the small elephant and receiving a free prom ticket in exchange- a pretty wild experience. The winner of this prize was Jacob Bland and various other candies and donuts were passed out to those that came back with synthetic wild animals.

Math teacher, Mr. AP, dressed up in all khaki and even a safari hat, his confession about why he has this clothing is that he hopes to someday become a zoo keeper.

Thursday at SDA was the second to last day concluding spirit week and from those that dressed up for the occasion, it appeared to be a hit.

Sometimes I ask myself if I want to be a vegetarian, never once have I said yes.

On another note, I like bees.
