Chargers Column Week Six

Week 6 was a good one for San Diego. With a win against the Colts and the Chiefs victory against the Raiders, the Chargers are now in third  place in the AFC West standings. As expected, San Diego was determined to win.

With twice the amount of first downs and a little over 100 more total yards, it is clear that the Chargers wanted the win. Although head coach Mike McCoy’s new offensive strategy has proven to be successful, it seems as though San Diego’s defense has made the most improvements.

On Monday night, San Diego’s defense prevented the Colts from scoring a touchdown throughout the whole game. The only scoring points earned by Indianapolis were from field goals. This was a huge accomplishment for San Diego when compared to their performance from week one.

This coming Sunday, San Diego will face the Jacksonville Jaguars who are (0-6). Those who are planning on watching the game should be ready for an interesting game between San Diego, which  seems to be finally adjusting to this season’s changes, and Jacksonville, which  hasn’t quite figured it out yet.
