Students Trade Clothing in Homeroom Olympics Event

On Tuesday, Jackson’s homeroom held a clothing exchange in front of the PAC for Homeroom Olympics. Students were encouraged to bring multiple clothing items in return for someone else’s.

“This year we decided to expand on the events that we did last year for the Homeroom Olympics. We needed to care more about students’ well-being and put on events that make others happy,” said junior Ciro Valdez.

Many people gathered with large bags, searching through the clothing and trading with one another.

Within a short amount of time, the crowd became much larger than expected. The activity was largely popular and got the majority of students present involved.

“It’s a simple, inexpensive activity that puts a smile on everyone’s face,” said Valdez.
