Comedy Sportz is coming up this Friday, and the team is gearing up for a battle of wits against LCC, as well as preparing a seasonal theme for the competition. “Students can expect this game to be spookier than usual,” said senior Maggie Lombard. “Of course, it’ll still be family-friendly, but we’re encouraging Halloween-themed suggestions. LCC will be coming over to play us, so you’ll see a bit of a friendly rivalry. LCC’s improv style is a bit different, which keeps the matches interesting.”

With new club officers [Lombard, junior Yoni Kruvi, and senior Ciara Reiter] taking the lead and filling last year’s seniors’ shoes, the possibility of new games can be expected. “We haven’t finalized the game selection,” said Lombard, “and we don’t know what games LCC will want to play, but I’m really hoping to play a new game called Buzzfeed. It was just invented at CSZ summer camp this year, so we have to get referee approval to play it. I hope we do. I waste hours on buzzfeed.com, and the improv game is hilarious. The audience will love it, I’m sure.”
